The service is part of the work package 2 of the ARPAF project “HEALPS – Healing Alps: Positioning the Alpine region as globally attractive health promoting place”. The goal of this project is the positioning of the Alpine Space as a health-promoting living and recreation space. The project results should provide the basis for valorisation of the alpine region through natural and evidence-based health tourism offers. The project will be implemented in an interdisciplinary European partner network within 18 months (January 2018 to July 2019).

Description of the subject matter:
Due to its natural conditions, the Alpine region has enormous potential to make its natural resources and environmental factors usable for health tourism. Product truth, an evidencebased customer benefit in the sense of a measurable health success as well as alpine authenticity is essential prerequisites. In this project health-promoting specific alpine resources should be collected, medically and scientifically analyzed and edited.

The following steps are to be carried out by the successful bidder:
– Identification of specific natural Alpine resources in terms of their health and health tourism potential. The focus is on the entire Alpine region. The goal is the identification 20 of alpine resources. Both the medical impact and health tourism potential should be described
per resource.
– Medical-scientific characterization of the identified resources with regard to their effect on human health and specific indications.
– Development of a checklist to identify and characterize potentially health promoting tourism products and services based on the identification of natural Alpine resources.
– Collection and analysis of health-tourism-integrated methods that support the measurement of results of health-promoting interventions.
The working language of the project consortium is English. All analyzes and results should be prepared accordingly in English. It is envisaged that the successful bidder will participate in project meetings of the project consortium. 3 2-day sessions and monthly Skype meetings will be scheduled annually alternately in Austria, Italy and Switzerland. It is planned that the service will be completed by the end of 2018.
In recent years, the Lead partner has been a project partner in regional, national and cross-border health tourism projects. Project results can be made available upon request. Interested parties are expected to have relevant references, expertise and experience, especially in the following areas:
(1.) Evidence-based, indication-specific health tourism
(2.) Health Resources Assessment
(3) Implementation of EU projects under European Structural Funds (ERDF, ESF, EULER) as external contractor or project partner.[:en]“Recording, mapping and medical-scientific analysis of health-promoting resources in the Alpine region”
